As much as I want to show off my new rift to my friends, the idea of sharing a face gasket with them kind of grosses me out. (Some of them have acne or sweat a lot, etc.) I want to get a second face gasket for guests to use. Is there an estimate on when these will be available for order?
Just get those little alcohol wipes that they use in doctors offices and tell your friends that in order that they use it, they must wipe their face in the area the gasket touches. If that's not possible then I would just wipe the gasket after each use.

I too would like to know this. I have VRCovers being delivered shortly so should help somewhat. I only received my Rift yesterday so cannot say how sweaty the 'gasket' is going to get. You get 2 with the Vive, which I use one and my son uses the other. 10 seconds to swap it over. Shame Oculus did not go with including 2.
I run sim races. So far I haven't had any bouts of face sweat but I'm sure there are some who do get them. I've always run a box fan pointed at me from the side because of the heat from the PC. The space I have between the nose and HMD allows some of that air to keep my face from getting too hot and sweaty. That space also helps me to find all the buttons and to line up my wheel. Also, I do wash my face before using the HMD so I can keep it clean from oils, dirt and dead skin. I use the included cloth to keep the lens clean.
I would advise you to order a cover now if you want one as the delivery time is fairly long for them. Mine is not going to ship until roughly 3 or 4 weeks after I ordered it (and then you have postage time depending on where you are)
