Horror games are AWESOME in VR!

Here's a list of the best, in no particular order:

Face Your Fears (free)
Exorcist Legion VR
Dreadhalls
Alien Isolation VR Mod
Doom 3 BFG VR Mod
Affected The Manor
Monstrum
Paranormal Activity Lost Soul
Don't Knock Twice
Narcosis
The Visitor (free)
Dreadeye (https://www.wearvr.com/apps/dreadeye)
Wilson's Heart
Duck Season
Five Nights At Freddy's VR: Help Wanted
Boogeyman
Boogeyman 2
Dead Secret
Dead Secret Circle
Escape Bloody Mary
Kobold Chapter 1

Should keep you busy, Dreadhalls and Alien Isolation VR Mod are the joint scariest games in that list, and FNAF and Monstrum are a close third and fourth. 😄

It's not a horror game, but I'd suggest Half-Life: Alyx be added to the list. Game keeps you feeling tense and on edge.
Lo, a quest! I seek the threads of my future in the seeds of the past.

After two years, I - and two other persons - have managed to see the first 2 rooms in Affected The Manor o:) Nothing really hapoened in these rooms, but I don't consider that a bad thing  😉

Note you need a oled hmd for the dark horror games, Affected the Manor is totally ruined using a lcd hmd.

Oculus Rift CV1, Valve Index & PSVR2, Asus Strix OC RTX™ 3090, i9-10900K (5.3Ghz), 32GB 3200MHz, 16TB SSD

When I first played Affected I really thought it was the start of some great VR horror games. Since then though nothing has really made me jump. I'm not sure if devs are actually scared to create something that makes you jump like that game did. Hopefully, RES 7 will do it to me when I get PS VR and PlayStation 5.
Maybe a job in security in the past helped me when I had to check empty buildings at night. Had a few scares doing that when kids or some unsavory types would prat about making noises 🙂
Edit: Just want to say the ones snowdog has mentioned are alright, but when you consider Alien Isolation didn't even make it to VR without someone doing the mod, it's not looking great on the horror front for VR. I think Oculus and Steam VR needs a RES 7 or something better, which I fully expected to happen by now.

The Exorcist VR is probably the best quality. The game Dement (steam exclusive I believe) was the most fun I've ever had with a horror VR game
