Why is Australia and NZ getting the shaft?

Pre-orders for Australia and NZ have had no new pre-order shipping for five weeks.  Yeah there was the clearing of the "Customs" blockage, but that hardly new shipping notices; that's just fixing old ones.  People in Europe, Canada and the US at the one hour mark are getting their Rift shipping and yet we're still stuck at the 6 minute mark.  And all the while our dollar drops against the US which makes the price of the Rift go up, up, up!!!

What the hell is going on?

Twistgibber came onto the Reddit shipping thread and said that there was a batch shipping to pre-order people in Australia this week...


We all know that ... but the words are just meaningless if it doesn't happen "again"

Seriously a lot of guys in U.S who placed orders way later than us already got their Rifts on their hands. 

I know we're still in remote location but having 5 shipping-less weeks while all U.S retail shops and consumers  receiving the Rift earlier than schedule isn't definitely a satisfying customer treatment.

Now who knows that 5 weeks will turn into 6th ...

Yeah but in most case they usually charge few days before prior to the shipping notice.

unfortunately not, and I've been checking regularly.. I also checked with my bank and checked they hadn't tried and it had bounced, but they said they had nothing on record. I'm HOPING I get charged soon.. trust me I'm going to be pissed if it doesn't happen or if it does but I'm missed for some reason (especially since my last email to support is 4 business days without a reply), but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

They came out and gave us an update and said AUS/NZ was getting a shipment this week - they could have kept quiet but they didn't.

Though you are more than slightly incoherent, I agree with you Madam,
a plum is a terrible thing to do to a nostril.

They're not overdoing US orders:

One for US, and one for AU/NZ
One for US, and one for Asia
One for US, and one for UK
One for US, and one for EU
One for US, and one for....

So I just got an email from Oculus saying something is wrong with my account details and it turns out they tried to charge my CC for my Rift!  O/N 613000026XXXX 6 Minute Brisbane!!  But ANZ Declined it!  Nooooooo!!!  I have called ANZ and let them know it's legit ($920ish) and I have sent Oculus support a ticket letting them know to try again.  @cybereality could you please PLEASE chase this up for me?
It's happening guys!

The unfairness comes from sending out whole containers instead of individual Rifts : How far a single shipment can get the AU/NZ queue moving, is something you are about to find out.

Got my processing email. Haven't checked my cc yet. I'll wait till I get up properly for that.

Processed.  WTF?!  I had to look twice.  Still no email regarding tracking.

CC has been charged.

Did it really take this thread to kickstart the shipping?

Well im nearly at the end of my tether, i am seeing people left right and center having a much later order time than mine getting processing.

Aus has been bent over a table as it is regarding shipments, and then people later than myself who was at 6min with a 27XXXX getting processed while i sit here biding my time.

If, i miss this shipment and have to wait another 4-5 weeks for the next batch for Aus, i will really be considering cancelling, and going to the other team.

There doesn't seem to be any fairness at all when its coming to the shipments.

Edit:  Sorry to of ranted here guys, just feeling extremely frustrated at this point.

I'm 26XXXX and today I've got... 
  • No order update 
  • No payment made
  • Another boilerplate email saying "everything looks great" 
  • Another mate (in AUS) got delivery notification with 28XXXX (and ordered way later than me)

Great!! I really appreciate that Oculus team
