Will USB 2 work for 2nd and 3rd sensor?

will I need to buy a usb 3 extender or will I be fine with standard usb 2 for the 2nd sensor?   I was going to buy the inateck ultra slim 4 port usb 3.0 hub for the second sensor, i'm not planning on a third sensor unless I need it for some reason, will this be good enough? also the second sensor I'm planning to put about 4 metres away, ive heard the quality is not as good in usb 2 as 3 so again will it affect things at this range?   thanks in advance:)
