Well, that's to be expected from an early beta version of Windows 10.

So far, every demo has worked for me. I am using an nvidia 660ti with the current newest drivers. (from sept 18th, even though it doesn't say it officially supports it, drivers installed fine for me). All have been unity demos except the oculus config stuff. Also, set to direct to rift mode.

Demos I've tried so far:
Totoro
Spirited Away
The RPG Room
ViewPort Architectural Visualization
Oculus Utility & IPD Calibration
Time Rifters

I'll install steam vr, and try out a few other things that are on your list and report back.

EDIT: Should mention, dk2 with the latest runtime only, no sdk installed

So, desktop vr had issues. It was rendering top and bottom stereo instead of left to right. Possibly a setting issue.

Steam vr showed one eye on the primary display, nothing besides, so was unuseable. Probably would have worked with the rift as primary.

Similar for halflife 2 with valve vr enabled. It showed on the primary monitor showing both eyes though. Probably would have worked with the rift as the primary display.

That's pretty much all I feel like messing with tonight though. Seems unity demos run great though.

EDIT: OH! I tried Cafe Ame as well, but it just showed the normal white window on the main screen, and nothing on the rift, so .... it didn't work at all for me. I let it sit for a good 2-3 minutes to make sure it wasn't just loading.

EDIT AGAIN: I lied... I decided to try out dreadhalls for the first time. It worked ok. Cause it didn't have direct to rift, there was a bit of judder(??? Jutter?), but not bad. Was cool to lean around corners to look, but the light was stationary, so couldn't really see anything better cause of it.

How do I get in on the Windows 10 beta?

Ever since I participated in the Vista Ultimate beta years ago, I've wanted to get in another.

Here's the link to the Windows site, just click to become an insider and download the ISO image.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview

I've installed the OS with no problems, got my games and benchmarks running fine (so far anyway) the only thing I cant get to run at the moment is the DK2. It wont switch on when you press the button, just a quick orange flash. Disconnecting the cables then reconnecting them lets it get picked up by the system where I get a blue light and an image in the DK2 but switches off after a few seconds.
Anybody any ideas?

Thanks.

yeh games without the dk2 run fine.....the purpose of this is that the dk2 isnt acting right. Did you upgrade or fresh install?
