Ordered on the 7th of January, rift is due between 4th and 14th July and I just received an email stating the above.

Could it be . . . . I'm close to receiving my rift?

What I don't understand is why Oculus couldn't send out this email earlier to people. Had I got this notification prior to them taking payment in May it would have helped me ensure the funds were available and the Bank OK for the transaction. But alas, I got a payment failed email with no warnings prior to it and then a lengthy delay (almost a month and counting).

that's EXACTLY what happened to me.  I was pushed back to July so I expected another month before I would transfer them on my own, then I get the email saying the processing failed and then the email the next day saying theywere about to process.  I'm usually very patient about this stuff.  I work for a company that takes customer service very seriously.  and to me this is some seriouse dicking around with customers.  If they fk up they should immediately process the order again not wait weeks maybe months before re processing because of their own fuck up

Yeah, I got the same email yesterday. Ordered April 3rd and have expected delivery of August 1-11. I'm not sure if it means my shipment will be in the next few days, or if they are just sending those notices out in bulk to tell everyone to make sure their payment details are correct.

So... I'm hopeful, but not counting my chickens just yet.

I was hopeful until I read you got an email. There's noway you are going get yours anytime soon when June orders haven't even been fulfilled yet. What a joke sending an email like this out to someone who isn't due their CV1 until August.

Well.. if it helps, I'm in Australia. Australia wouldn't have anywhere near the number of post Day 1 orders as the US would have. So maybe one shipment for the region is enough to clear a lot of it.

So yeah... maybe we're both getting our Rifts shipped in the next few days. Or maybe it's a blanket email and "soon" could mean weeks.

Same boat as you! Received the "Soon" email on Saturday morning at 6AM ECT. My estimate was earliest June 26th so that's OK. Money still not taken.

Btw, congrats on the Zotac! I'm getting stepped up with EVGA to a non-superclocked 1080, but I always eyeballed the less-than-common Zotac Amp offerings. Something about them that makes me curious on how they perform next to the Asus Strix for example.

^^ Thanks ^^

To be honest, i think it'll be roughly equivalent. 2-2.1ghz seems to be the absolute  ceiling on theses cards, and it doesn;t seem to matter which brand you buy, it's all about stopping them from thermal throttling, which most aftermarket cards will do.

I got mine today too, and mine's also in Yuen Long, HK. Luckily I'm in Japan, so I'm really close and the scheduled delivery date is this Thursday, the 16th!

Well if it does turn out to be a meaningless post then come June 30th I'll be order the Vive instead. From everything I've read the displays are virtually the same, but the Vive will ship within 3 days, so there's no more being messed about. I have also setup my room to make space for the Vive now. This was intended for Oculus Touch initially, but my patience is wearing thin. I have been joining Big Screen latley which is fun and the amount of people who have a Vive instead of CV1 really did surprise me. I'm not bothered which one I get now, but I'll give Oculus the chance to get my order to me on time first.
