I've been addicted to dreams of "flight" since I was a child; and even though I have Eve: Valkyrie for some reason this one simple Arcade game tapped in my flight fantasies perfectly. I've played it for nearly an hour straight trying to continuously beat the highest score.
I'm with you - flying in VR is a dream come true! FSX FlyInside and Elite Dangerous ftw! And DCS World 2 looks great, but I just haven't played it much yet.
The climb is my fav atm... up to hard levels and its intense
FSX flying over my states city to the airports was good
Having a big crash in Pcars is thrilling.
always a favorite is the 360 sphere panoramic videos in the real world cant get enough of the good ones.... its going to go off soon with the gear360 camera just released yesterday
one of my most played games last year is getting 1.3 support soon,,,, star conflict (same ppl who made war thunder Gajiin) so im looking forward to that amungst other experiences
flying is great in the rift, whether drone, helicopter or spaceship..... I always dreamed of flying and now I can virtually
my first great experince was No limits 2 rollercoasters as I tried DK2 for the first time
DCS for me and when 360 videos are done properly they look fantastic. The 360 videos that came to the Oculus home recently were great, but most of the other ones the scale is totally out.
As bizarre as it sounds, the most fun I've had so far is with GZ3DooM (classic DooM with VR support). It's one part nostalgia, one part cool new tech. 😉
Second place would be Vanishing of Ethan Carter VR probably. Lucky's Tale being third, Lucky's Tale might of been No.1 but the game itself is just too easy. It's a great introduction to VR gaming, but the platforming is extremely easy for a vetted gamer so I get bored easily flying through all the levels usually never dying.
Lucky's Tale made me realize that Super Mario -style games will never be the same again. To think that I may one day be able to literally kick Bowser in the balls...
Thinking back to when I first got my DK2 and was blown away with VR would be Euro Truck Simulator 2, then soon after that Project Cars and Dirt Rally. Two of my favourite demos from back then were We Expect You To Die and Mythos World On Axis and id love to see full games released for these too.
At the moment its definitely The Climb, such a different experience to anything else Ive tried in VR but its so immersive.
