any solution to cloning Rift display to monitor?

It is a huge pain when you are having someone test the Rift and cant tell what they are seeing. Is it working right? What are they looking at that makes them say "wow"? What if they go the wrong way?

When I select clone display it screws everything up because of the portrait mode on the Rift. Would an HDMI splitter work (Im guessing no thanks to portrait)?

Try Open Broadcaster Software.

(Please note that this has been mentioned before.)

Hi there! Cloning display or using an HDMI splitter will not help because of the orientation of the screen. If you're using extended mode, you can rotate the orientation in the Windows settings, however this won't be useful in clone mode. The direct to Rift rendering was created to work around this issue and ideally you should be using that mode.
