Those of you with a business and filing taxes in US...technically speaking, PCs spec'd for gaming make for very powerful business computers.  The advantage being that your primary use is for business and you can write-off the expense on your taxes and then depreciate the asset over the next several years.
Rift-S, Quest 128GB, GO 64GB.

Back in 2008 I spent over $5,000 to build a new gaming rig in anticipation of the MMORPG, Age of Conan. Which of course, ended up being a rather lousy launch for an MMORPG; but I think I just used that as an excuse to build a high-end rig.

I ended up spending over a year playing League of Legends focusing on Annie with that machine:

Hmm, I seem to remember Annie having a big bear.  He was a bit of a machine though right enough.

Hmm.. recently bought a Titan X for $1,200 mostly so I could play Deus Ex MD on a 4K TV. Looking back, I probably could have waited for the PS4 Pro, but what the hell.

How can you buy a Titan X when the 1080 Ti is behind the corner?
The ps4 pro is rubish, wait for Project Scorpio Xbox with VR.

Sure, but I wanted to play Deus Ex as soon as it came out. Not wait months and months for non-existent hardware to arrive. Also, PS4 Pro is legit. I think most people bashing it probably don't have one.

Deus Ex is so bad optimized....Believe me cyber it is rubish and I tried it with PS VR too, last game I played was the last guardian, cool game but the dif between the ps4 vs ps4 pro is minimal. The gtx 1080 Ti is coming in March 2017, I will sell one of my gtx 1080 and grab one for 2d gaming and leave the other 1080 in my VR machine in the basement.

My "Gaming" PC is over $10,000 (excluding all external peripherals such as wheels, monitors etc)... but I didn't necessarily built it to play one game.  Rather, ALL current games for 2015-2016, and next year will be upgrading so it will play "current all games" for 2016-2017 and so forth.

The most was the 2800 I spent to get my current rig and rift. I was starting from scratch and I had nothing so cost me more than I had intended 😉 .

Yeah dropping that bear was my bread n' butter in PvP. I bought the skin that turned her in to Alice and the bear wears the White Rabbit outfit. My favorite way to pwn n00bs

I spent a lot of money on this... the only thing I didn't replace is my monitor coz it is fairly decent (not 4k but meh I don't care about that)... I spent about $6kAU on VR this year, including buying a HOTAS and pedals (I regret nothing!! )

next year will be another $1800 I think on an omni, and the bits to build my custom chair rig

Yay this thread is making me not feel bad about how much I've spent on my PC/VR this year and it's not even close to the crazy amount of monies posted here :)!

Yeah don't feel bad...I spent 3000.00 on a new PC from Origin to play VR and 3D in aug. and then of course the Oculus and touch and about 500.00 in games/apps...but hey I have plenty of awesome VR peeps to play w/ that make it worth it!  🙂
