i have never had a facebook account before ! i tried to open a new facebook account so that i could join the oculus account to the new facebook account. the reason is i have preordered oculus quest 2 so therefore need a new facebook account to use it. what a shambles, first i was given a new facebook account then two days later my account was blocked, i had not changed or used the account at anytime between that time period. i tried a second time, i am accepted, i get a facebook account, the next time i sign in they ask for my mobile number to confirm its me. i input my mobile number, facebook says this number has been used before, and will not accept it. of course its been used before, how many mobiles am i expected to have to register for a facebook account. then i find i cannot appeal against this idiotic situation. is it any wonder theyre getting bad publicity, when they cannot apply some common sense to situations like this. i ask the moderator of this forum will they please reply with a recommedation to resolve this problem ASAP. i have checked the net and found i am not the only one in this farcical situation. thank you for your time and patience.
you need to send an email to oculus support from the main oculus web page.
they will ask you for id, your email of the account you have on oculus, your forum name, the serial number on your rift stuff, i forget what else, oh the cell phone number, your address.
they will contact facebook for you, when they say you can open a new facebook account do it then make it have the same email the oculus uses even if you need a new email to do so. not the same email as the one you got banned with. then you log in with facebook on oculus and your done.
submit a support ticket and they can help you they helped me, ty oculus 🙂 ;
