Hey Guys,

Just played EVE on cv1. It's true that SDE is gone though if you focus on certain things like laser beams I was able to notice some pixelation. Trust me though I had to stare really hard to see even that. But there certainly was no feeling of looking through a fine mesh as some have described Vive or CB. Very light and more comfortable than Morpheus, although so far I had the most fun with a new driving level from the Heist demo. I'm now in line to try Adrift. Not sure if it's on DK2 or CB. IOS is funky with this forum so not sure I'll be able to respond anymore until I get home.

FOV on CV1 is very nice though you definitely notice a sort of binocular ring around the bottom portion. However it's important to note that the adjustment was done very quickly by an oculus employee and the IPD slider wasn't functional. Oh and I hav a place in line held for star vr but that line is insane and may not make it.

That CNET video makes me fear for the people demoing the RIft, someone is going to get punched in the face before E3 is over.

Wow, The Verge's hands-on was nice and in-depth. Until now I didn't realize that even the thumbstick knows when your thumb is resting on it. The gesture thing doesn't seem gimmicky at all, and it's slowly dawning on me just how groundbreaking the finger gestures are going to be, even if they are simply a binary on/off. It seems like this would really simplify things for the developer (when user points at X, do Y. when user pinches at location X, do Y, etc), and makes for a robust user experience.

I thought VR was already potentially impacting every industry in a big way, and this level of fun & precise interactivity just multiplies all of that potential, big time. Pre-ordering a pair of Oculus Touch controllers alongside the Rift and throwing development support behind it seems like a no-brainer at this point!

Same here Drash. Planning to preorder the Consumer Rift and Touch Developer Kit as soon as preorders become available.

EDIT: Removed some embarrassing typos... ("Consumer" instead of "Consumers" and "become" instead of "becomes"... Yikes).
