Mine doesn't tilt enough in that hinge to make a difference. If it tilted more then I could make it work.
Without more tilt in the physical hinge I will require a new facial interface to fill the gap.

The key is to get the triangle on the rear of the headset almost touching the back of your neck, everyone is slightly different. It took me a bit to finally get it sitting correctly. Once you get it setup right you can wear it for hours.

I don't even have a rift, I have a mixed reality headset but this honestly fixed why my head was hurting so much and also got the goggles closer to my face!
