if your faceplate was falling apart like mine did log a ticket with oculus support . also take pictures showing the wear and tear and they will send you a replacement faceplate...that's what they did for me

they're not for sale yet but are rumoured to be by the end of the year

If you check the general forum you'll see there's a company selling (or planning to sell) alternative faceplates for the CV1.
