Did you mean:

i added some cushions to my rift strap

in the back, on the bottom of the triangle on both sides. i added a wound adhesive dressing with the cushion in the middle and the sticky part around the cushion.

i wore my rift watching music videos for a while today and as usual my head in the back got sore so i didnt want to stop watching videos cause i was having fun so i remembered my mouse mod and how i used the wound adhesive cushion to make my thumb slide comfortable which made aiming easier so i put it on my rift and you know it doesn't hurt anymore.

i have a theory that the bottom of the triangle on the rift head strap is too hard and hurts my head and maybe other peoples heads too, if so try my cushion trick to make the rift gud.:

What you all must do is move the clip to the other side so that you can allow more slack going above your head then this points the cable down your back in the centre thus avoiding the design flaw of the clip to kink the cable after the many twists and the sharp angle it puts on it. Else be sure to get BLACK SCREENS after much use over 1 or 2 years.

gud tip, i moved the cable from the left to the right c the picture:

Almost, instead of that run the cable over your head for more slack then through the clip (same position) in the opposite direction thus pointing the cable towards and down your back. It works well to slip over the back of your chair and is optimal for standing also. This is the way they should have had it routed...

Here you can see the nasty kinks made by the clip when used on the left side and this cable failed and was replaced due to this. I now use this routing for the new cable replaced care of to Oculus Support!

i have been using it the first way it seems to work, as long as its not on the left side i suppose. but your way looks good i just dont want to loop the wire over my head.

anyway, i tried on my rift again today and the cushions were uncomfortable, so i rotated the long side from pointing up to pointing sideways and that left the sticky side a bit short to hold on so i used duct tape on the back part of the plastic to hold the sticky side of the cushion.

it seems to be working so far. heres some pictures of my cushion mod;

BTW with enough slack you won't notice the cable above your head thus removing the sharp angle which will cause kinks.

i copied your method cause i don't want any kink, over time. i gave it a lot of slack over my head so it doesn't touch my head and looped a thin width duct tape around the cable near the clip on the right side then looped the duct tape once around the plastic and tried it out, works awesum. thanks man!

Don’t forget there are invisible lights along that strap on the outside that need to shine through for proper tracking.

i googled rift headset lights or something similar and got this picture:

so i took my galaxy 7 phone camera and looked at the back of my rift on the strap and saw the lights through the camera.

i was covering two lights before but now i used the camera and now the tape isnt covering the lights;

before where the lights were covered:

and after when the lights are visible and where the duct tape should go;

It's the foam at the front of the headset that irritated my face. I couldn't wear the Rift for more then 15 Minutes until I got VR cover. Now I can wear it as long as I want. The back triangle has never bother me though..
