I am really getting annoyed. I've been trying for hours to get Skyrim to work with no luck. Every time it is showing up on my laptop screen instead on DK2. Setting DK2 as primary display is not an option as I can't see anything then, I can't even click to run the game. Frustrating like hell.

Does Vorpx have low persistence? If it does do you have to have rift set as main monitor to get it? I only have a 60hz computer screen and I think low persistence requires 75hz, doesn't it?

@ volv : If you don't use the Rift as primary display, please make sure to force the game to the Rift with the vorpX config app. Also "Direct to HMD mode" should work in many cases with Skyrim (but not with most other games). BTW: You can arrange your monitors in the Windows display config in a way that doesn't make the Rift as primary display too annoying. Normally this shouldn't be neccessary with Skyrim though.

@ sidni : vorpX should auto update, If it doesn't you can use your original web installer to update. If you don't have that anymore, send a mail to support@vorpx.com.

One general request: Please use the vorpX forum for support requests. Normally I don't check this forum regularly. Thanks.

To anyone that is struggling to run Skyrim on their DK2 (is getting it on their main screen instead), I found a solution.

Go to your /Users/Documents/My Games/Skyrim
Open SkyrimPrefs.ini and search for iAdapter. Change it from 0 (main) to 1 (secondary).
Open Skyrim.ini and add a line 'iAdapter=1' somewhere.

In Display/Monitors setting in vorpX select 'Use system settings'. That should do it!

Now I have different issues (seeing double despite correct IPD set) but I did not try to fix it yet.

There is a bug in vorpX's IPD setting. You need to set the IPD, in vorpX to "60". I had the same double vision issue, and that fixed it.

Thanks, that fixed it. I set fov 120 in the game and tried to mess around with all different settings.

Here are the issues I have seen so far:
- Everything looks very small, especially characters
- Using head tracking seems to stretch the screen a bit which does not feel natural
- Objects look like made of paper but this is good enough for a game without official support I guess
- I couldn't get focused view (without borders) while seeing UI at the same time

It is good to see that something works but it is not playable at this stage for me. It might be that I need to configure it properly. Could anyone share their settings, please?

its not perfect, but still cool as hell

- new vorpx
- get normal dolphin 32bit, not the vr one (does not have directx9/11), set graphics to dx9/11
- xpadder - map mouse directions to directional control stick
- using keyboard/mouse controls you can map mouse movements to directional controls (left/right w/gamecube, wiimote pointer directions)
- metroid prime (gamecube runs better, wii has better headtracking)

its not perfect and never will be, game was not designed for VR. but still bucket loads of awesome.

Edit: I got metroid prime to run at full speed and no sound lag its perfect !!!!!

How did you get vorpx to run with the 32 bit non vr dolphin?

great news to hear VorpX now supports DK2.
Would love to see ARMA3, Portal + SkyRim.

Imagine Skyrim in DK2 + Sixense Stem ... Woooooooh !!!
