vorpx : Bad user or bad driver ?

Hi guys,

I just bought the vorpx driver (beta) and I've been trying to use it for hours but I had nothing but a very very awful experience with it.
I tried it with Portal 2, but the game crashes immediatly after the intros.
I tried it with Bioshock Infinite, but the tracking is completely wrong and makes me want to vomit like on my first day with the Rift. I tried adjusting the mouse sensitivity but I can't get anything perfect, it's always a bit off.
I tried it with Portal 1 but the 3d is completely wrong, adjusting it makes it even worse whatever I do, the tracking is off whatever I do, all the props in the game seem to move differently from the rest of the world.
I tried it with Dishonored and the 3d is also completely wrong, also horrible tracking and a lot of problems with light/shadows/reflections...

I don't understand how to make it work, and I am starting to wonder if it is possible... Making the tracking work only with mouse sensitivity seems crazy to me, because even with a perfect 1:1 movement you would still end up with uncorrected errors.
Also, when I find games in the "compatible list" I expect them to work... I am very disappointed right now...

@archaic- To be fair, I'm very interested in this conversation, but I skipped over your entire post after trying to read it for a bit as well. It's not just the bold, but the lack of capitalization makes it hard to follow. I wouldn't fault Happy for it.

One point I would like to discuss is that you say Tridef *only* supports 12 games, while Vorpx supports 90+. That's not a fair comparison at all. Tridef unofficially supports probably just about the same list, they just go about doing it in different ways. Each one had their benefits, although I can only assume at Vorpx's due to the lack of the demo.

@Ralf- That's not an appropriate answer. Not that you owe me an answer or anything, but I just take that as to mean that the long answer is that it doesn't do very much very much better than Tridef, otherwise you'd *want* us to see what you've done. Surely it wouldn't take 'weeks' to add a simple one week trial version.

But to each his own.

@ Someguitarist I could go back, reformat the entire thing but my words and the thoughts expressed will not change. I can appreciate, upon further inspection that it's a lot to take in. (that's what she said)

I still can't fathom someone (me included) reading something and being like... "Yeah screw that it's in bold" or "Naaaaw it's missing caps...." especially if it was written to me. It's disrespectful, lazy and plain idiotic.
You can see I took care in my wording to not be judgmental or confrontational, I tried to quote things to explain where I am coming from.

As for the point on Tridef, this I did not know unfortunately I used my trial with Tridef before the rift so I can only go by Youtube and the internet and I had not seen anything on it. ❤️

Yep, I've been playing Mass Effect 2 & 3 with Tridef, neither are on the official supported list. They both look great, just have to do my own tweaking. They both had game profiles, but I didn't find the original profiles to my liking.

I removed the bold from my post, perhaps now it's legible to those struggling with it 😄

Has anyone gotten a "successful" bioshock infinite experience? The z-buffer 3D doesn't seem to be working. There is almost no 3d effect at all, and where there is, the scale seems off. It feels like if I'm just playing in front of a large tv with everything being large. Can someone tell me what settings they have in the in-game "Del" menu? Thanks

You guys are all sorts of fun. I react to the widely accepted position that writing in all bold face is somewhat aggravating and is considered rud..., and a shit show filled with childish ad hominem attacks ensues without any input of my own. Bunch of Psycho's (Just bugging, don't flip out) 😄

@Snappahead & archaicbereft, you guys should work on learning how to keep calm. Becoming rude and resorting to puerile insults is an insult to your own character and certainly not a worthwhile venture, and yet you call me rude? There is little point in busting a gasket over my opinions of you or a computer program, but if you really want to go batshit crazy on the subject of either one I have no problems keeping along.
Are you really just looking for a fight?

Let me attempt to explain to you both as nicely as possible that you have no idea what you are talking about. Both of you took your interpretations of my posts and made up a subjective fantasy inside of your minds that has no real value in this dimension. I will surmise you are acting out of boredom?

Relax, take a breath (or two) and find cohesion. Then perhaps if you are willing to go forwards without succumbing to your more vile natures, I will be willing to listen (or parry, whichever way you'll have it).

Honey cakes, believe you me if I was upset or looking for a fight I wouldn't come to a developer forum to do so.
Given your inability to communicate and the fact that you are unable to actually read and respond in more original/logical thought processes than "you miss my point" and "you guys are angry" there is little point conversing with you further

Enjoy your fruitful life high aloft your cloud where the shouts of the little people are but silly gibberish of the masses unable to understand your supreme position.
If you ever do want to self reflect, you can read my post.. it's all formatted correctly for your high standards (well probably not, but hey it's there)

love peace and elbow grease sonny.

Well the two of you are just the perfect couple
I get horrible images of two trolls doing things that no human should ever lay eyes upon.
Don't be surprised if your ignorant attitude comes back to bite you someday.
