Im on a 6970 overclocked with a fx8150 4.2 and 8gb 1600 ddr3 ram and I can only get about 45-55 frames with everything on low with vsync off.. I know the goal is to aim for 75 with vsync on but having lower frame rate isn't really all that bad to me in that game for some reason, I still find it quite playable.. Just wondering if other people can play at lower frame rates with their dk2 without problems.. Also of anyone knows any tweaks to improve performance that would be cool to..

Also when leaning to far forward or back the screen goes black.. Also the motion tracker is hard to see almost like its to close to me...Is this normal?

Hi I have a r9 290 tri x with 4690k at 3.9ghz 8 gig ram windows 8.1.

I get 75 fps on areas like corridors or small rooms but it drops to 62-65 in big areas. This is the cause of my judder. My problem is if I set my settings to low it makes no difference at all, i can't even tell the detail has gone down in game everything just looks the same on low vs ultra. Can you confirm thus is what you are experiencing .

Same here, somehow it doesent matter if i set detail to low or high, allways same fps for me ( 60-65)
maybe there is a not found yet oculus gfx ini somewhere.
I plan to upgrade to a gtx970 or gtx980 soon.
Right now my setup: i7 4790k - gtx660ti - 8GB - win8.1

Ok just tried again. When the judder happens I get fps of 50-55. This is the case on ultra or ultra low. This is the judder problem no setting is making ant difference other than the lighting one (forget the name). The people who are having no judder must be on very high end rigs and are brute forcing through this problem.

So if this is the case, what can be done ?

Figure out if your bottleneck is the GPU or the CPU and upgrade the offending item.
For me its my CPU holding my GPU back. Im only getting 70% GPU usage on max settings and 50% on lowest settings.
and one of my cores is floating around the 80-90% mark.

My theory is a large amount of draw calls due to the amount of props in every scene couple with the fact that its all happening twice in rift mode.

Are you saying my I5 4690k is bottle necking my r9 290? Or the other way round?.

I think it's the fact we can't change the graphic settings at all. Is it possible to change a code like we did to get alien working in the first place to get the graphic changes to take effect ? This is the cause of all this judder.
