Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble retrieving a friendly "Display Name" and a proper avatar snapshot using the All-in-One SDK v74. Whether I call GetLoggedInUser or GetLoggedInUser2, I only receive a username with no spaces (e.g., "ImmersiveMatthew") rather than the more friendly, spaced name (e.g., "Immersive Matthew") I see in my profile (see attached screenshot).
Additionally, I'm not able to obtain a usable profile photo. The legacy avatar URL is empty, and any attempt to capture an avatar snapshot either returns nothing or produces a solid black image.
Here’s a list of the Data Use Checkup (DUC) permissions I currently have approved (the ones in bold marked with an asterisk are active/approved):
Use Achievements
Use Add-ons: Downloadable Content and In-App Purchases Commerce (IAP)
Use Age Group APIs
*Use Avatars
Use Content Sharing & Livestreaming
Use Cowatching
Use Custom Items for Oculus Home
Use Destinations, Group Presence and App Deep Linking
Use Events
Use In-App Content
Use Leaderboards (global)
Use Leaderboards (friends)
Use Matchmaking
*Use Multiplayer with Photon/Playfab
Use Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Networking
Use Rooms
*View Oculus username
Enable users to invite others
*Use Voice Chat (VoIP)
Other
I notice there's a "View Oculus username" permission, but no separate DUC for "Display Name" or "UserID" beyond that. Given that I'm able to retrieve the username (albeit without spaces), it seems I have the proper permissions.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with v74? Am I calling the wrong API or missing a specific permission (perhaps hidden under “Other”) to get the friendly display name and proper avatar snapshot? Any insight or guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
