Use the recommended settings of the meta tool in the lower right corner of Unity.
If the simulator is still blank, manually switch the Scene to the Simulator when executing.

+1 this is not working for me and the documentation (https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/xrsim-getting-started) is unclear on how to address issues.

I updated to SDK 71, and it shows white. There's nothing to update anymore, so it continues white. At least in the projects with passthroug

Also after elliminating the passthrough block, Simulator doesn't work

I am having this issue too with the white screen. Did you ever manage to fix it?
I am on Unity 6000.0.28, Meta SDK 71.
I even tried disabling dynamic resolution as suggested in another thread, but it didn't help. Documentation provides no clues either. Very disappointed, this is a feature meant to make developers jobs easier, and we are spending tons of time just trying to get it to function.
