We have a menu system that is built into our main scene, but when we disable the main OVRPlayerController and then enable our second OVRCameraRig we get some strange results.
While the camera appears to be in the correct position, the center camera forces itself to location 0,0,0 meaning the player is simply looking at no mans land.
We have used this process many times before, but this is something that only recently has been playing up.
Just to add a few other issues we noticed in Utilities 1.11 with Unity 5.5.1f1
* Rotation with the analog stick is not smooth and feels like frames are being dropped * Vertical banding in low light scenes when using Single Pass Render
