Can anyone let me know if you have had to return your Brand New Meta Quest 3 Headset to Meta because it just stopped working for no reason? I am literally now on my 4th headset replacement (all refurbished replacements) in 4 months of buying my original! The last replacement lasted for exactly 4 days before it stopped working. 4 days of use and now it has to be returned again. I am wondering if I am the only one experiencing this or is it something that is happening to others?

There are sweat absorbant masks available on Amazon. I wonder if they would help since you wear them instead of attaching to the goggles. They sell for $10 USD on Amazon. They have ear loops like a regular face mask, but may be uncomfortable to wear.

Thanks, I actually ordered that exact headset to keep the goggles off my face and a sweat reducing face mask. I get that the chat help person can't say anything - I didn't think to start researching the problem more until the 3rd goggle failure. Meta could at least make the new user really aware of the goggle susceptibility so steps could be taken before having to return 2 or 3 units.

If i able to help at all, im happy to. It would be nice if meta would warn people before they purchase a quest.

I agree with you all @CosmicMeerkat5770 and @rightdoc -- Meta should let people know if they are using for activities that produce sweat to insure moisture does not touch the headset in any way, shape or form. It's could save a lot of people from returning multiple headsets. Thanks for your feedback - hoping Meta will either fix the issue or at least make usage recommendations based on our experiences.

It's clear that to keep costs down on the headsets, meta's cheaping out on the environmental protection aspects of the electronics. Perhaps the individual sweaty game manufacturers should highlight the best practice to ensure headset longevity.
Game/exercise in a cool room.
Game/exercise with a fan blowing at you.
Have a fan extraction interface, or an open interface, or a mesh interface, or remove the interface and have it floating on a halo strap.

these memory chips are of very poor quality. You can check it yourself by disassembling your headset. so I think everyone will have the same problem in the future. It's just a matter of time.
Are you kidding? Are you probably an employee of the meta company? Do you understand what you are writing? Pay 550 dollars in order to then run around with a fan to cool the headset? It seems that you, Mark Zuckerberg, are defending your company here when thousands of people who suffered from this company write complaints on all sites about the poor quality of the headset

@caesar.526684 not to cool the headset.....to cool yourself, so you are not sweating as hell and prevent the headset from the sweat.

Yes of course. and also not to breathe)). why other brands do not have this problem and here it is a very serious problem

Maybe other headsets aren't used for doing sweaty workouts as much as Quests??
But I also think that the headset should be better protected against damage caused by moisture.
