The game is here:

The following Kickstarter Stretch Goals were achieved:
I do have a weakness for these Minecraft-inspired graphics, and looks like a fun game even if some of us will be able to push 144 fps with SteamVR res 500%, lol. Also pretty sure my 9-year-old son will like this game. According to the dev, the PCVR version has longer draw distance and more vegetation - and will support up to 144 fps and much higher resolutions (by super sampling).

Got it 😇
- but haven't tried it yet ... so to have and to hold ... we'll see 😎

This is a pure Quest game - and yes I get solid 90 fps even when maximizing SteamVR res to a jaw-dropping 500% (40 mill pixels per frame for both eyes - even higher than 8k res, lol). Maybe I can get 144 fps in res 500%, forgot to test that 😄 - Even a GTX 970 may be enough for this game.
The graphics are really bad, it's totally a game for shortsighted/myopic persons because your view distance is lower even than Wolfenstein 3D in 1992, lol (ok, maybe the view distances are similar to be fair). Dev (there's only one) says that the PC version has more vegetation and longer view distance, but then the Quest version may be really bad - because the PC version is already very bad. Furthermore native Oculus drivers are not supported - so my son can't even use the CV1.
Still I'm not refunding the game. I've talked to the dev (and tried not to be too Karen-ish 😇), and he has promised to add native Oculus driver support. He did not want to increase draw distance, but he promised to (try to) enhance the PC version further by adding shadows.
The game is somewhat fun - I think my 9 year old son might enjoy it (he likes Minecraft), when he can use the CV1 ... later 🙂
My rating 4/10.
Tried to take some res 500% shots, but the game does not look good - way too "blocky" with those giant voxel things - this screenshot might give some ideas - giant voxels look even worse (=bigger) inside the hmd - but the bloom effect is nice (only available in the PC version - see how the fire shines):
Btw - see the bloom effects here too:
The game could be awesome with full draw distance and full dynamic shadows. Probably never going to happen though...

Seems things are going well for the dev, congrats:

Note that the dev added native Oculus drivers for the game a few days ago. I tested it with Rift CV1, and it's working flawlessly. So I can now start this Steam game from inside Oculus Home without starting SteamVR. And now my son can play the game.
Actually I think the game looks great with the CV1, even because of the smaller fov. Problem is that the game is really low-end, and the voxels extremely big and "blocky" - and voxels look smaller using CV1 than Index, and smaller voxels improve the perceived res a bit.
So, for this game, small fov may indeed be an advantage - and oled is great in the dark dungeons too. Even the SDE helps to cover up the lack of real textures to some degree.

Being slightly Karen-ish, I did complain to the devs that this low-end Quest port could look so much better with some nice real-time shadows - and I'm happy to see that the devs are working on that - only for the PCVR version - the devs just wrote:
We decided to upgrade our Unity Version once again to 2021.2 in order to have access to realtime point light shadows. Since realtime shadows are pretty performance intensive, this feature will most likely only be available on PCVR and not on the Quest version"
Ancient Dungeon will be enhanced with realtime shadow for PCVR
I'm running the game now using Index res 500%, so surely getting some more advanced graphics would be great! The devs have not yet mentioned a release date for the new patch. Right now graphics really are so extremely poor I've stopped playing the game - I'll give it another chance with shadows 🙂

I saw this a while back and it looked really cool, definitely wanna pick it up at some point. Hopeful they'll add some sort of multiplayer aspect to it, I think it would add a lot of replayability and appeal to a larger market.

Ancient Dungeon just received a massive update - and for the first time includes dynamic shadows, but only of PC users:
"- PCVR now has point light shadow support and graphics settings (more settings to come in the future). Be aware, that shadows can cause a huge performance impact."
