I just looked and it said Anshar Wars 2 was already purchased, but I did not purchase it...I installed and played a round and its pretty cool. Why did I get it free? Some sort of special?

Nice, I wish I got free games as a special! I just have games that I buy and forget I bought... so hard particularly with both Steam and Oculus having summer sales!

Nobody gave me Anshar Wars 2 free.

Did you already own it on the GearVR because if so the devs automatically offer it free on Oculus Rift.

System Specs: MSI NVIDIA RTX 4090 , i5 13700K CPU, 32GB DDR 4 RAM, Win 11 64 Bit OS.

That must be it. I think it may have been one of my free GearVR games that I got with my S7 Edge..

Somehow I have Mythos the world axis and I did not purchase it. Nor do I have a gear VR.
