Lately, I've been immersing myself in first-person shooters like Contractors and Ghost of Tabor. But let me confess, I'm not exactly a sharpshooter. My aim tends to go haywire, especially when the pressure is on. It's frustrating, to say the least.
By the way, I'm curious, do any of you keep both eyes open while aiming, or do you prefer closing one? I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this.

In the real world people are told to keep both eyes open to have the best peripheral vision to see threats while aiming, I've never held a gun in my life... apart from air rifles but I've kind of gotten used to keeping a look out in VR shooters.

You have to stick with bursting your shots if you're using automatics. It helps with your aim, so you don't just blast everything and everywhere in sight.
If you're into sniping, take what they put in games and movies into account, because some of those actions are real. Especially the part about holding your breath before you take the shot. It helps keep your aim steady. As you pull the trigger, exhale steadily. This will help with aiming as a sniper.
