App and game recommendations for users with neuromuscular diseases

I was just diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Are there any VR programs available or in the pipeline that could be used to help with coordination and balance, that are not too energetic (I'm 73 and have limited ability with high end action games). Thanks.

Hello there, @kkong01, welcome to the forums! Thank you so much for sharing about your condition. If you haven't already, please consider talking to your doctor about trying out a VR program like this. Your doctor may know about possible or upcoming research studies or specific apps you could participate in.

Now as for some low intensity games I'd like to recommend you check out Hand Physics Lab - it's a cool game that uses hand tracking technology for solving puzzles, and you can play it while standing or seated.

You might also enjoy Silhouette, another hand tracking game where you guide shadow creatures to safety using shadows.

Thank you again for starting this discussion, and please keep us updated. It could really help others in the community with similar conditions.

Thank you very much for your input. Much appreciated. Maybe I can get my grandsons involved!

Thank you again for taking the time to make this post. Please know that if you plan on letting your grandsons use the Quest that they need to be age 10 and above this is because children’s bodies tend to be less developed, so their eyes, necks, backs and strength may not yet allow them to use Meta Quest comfortably or safely.
