While most of us is having fun fighting monsters, Rune is fighting his own personal monster that is TAA.

Yeah, I don't get it. The game looks great. I don't notice any blurriness other than the limitation of the HMD.

Interesting, try to Revive the game, any different?

You could also try Lone Echo and try to switch temporal antialiasing on and off using Rift-S or Index, see the difference?

The game looks cool! Now before I buy it, it states on the store that sitting mode is supported. Is this true? I don't want to spend many hours standing up! And if so, any problems with the controls? Like do you have to swing your weapon wildly and potentially hitting my desk, I don't have a lot of room here! For example Lone Echo was a perfect 10.0 game for me, sitting mode is supported, controls are perfect, great story, etc.

I'm playing it while sat down and not had any issues with hitting my desk or other stuff in my small PC room. All the controls work fine and you're able to reach everything without bumping into real-world stuff.

Yeah, it has an ingame height/arm length calibration, just by pressing down on right thumbstick while holding the controller at arms length.
But you're a bit handicapped in a chair with armrests, as you need to be able to swing your arms freely, or you'll feel restricted.

Just beat some vile super zombie boss. I must say that it was really hard to understand how to swing in order to parry it's attacks (it had runic armor). I threw my level 3 shaky mate some frenzy mead, and he took the last bit of armor.

The finishing move is to pull out it's intestines with both hands - pretty gross

My new favorite music  ❤️  ❤️  ❤️

https://youtu.be/-m-Uhx29Apc

So paying for this quality in music to be played on ..... *dry cough!* ... the low-end Rift-S headband speakers?  😄

I'm using my CV1 for Asgard's Wrath, the music requires and deserves it 😉

My small investigation continues, lol, but this game is simply CV1 perfection. Using Index, first there's the dreaded TAA becoming everything else than invisible, but even with the massive TAA blur I can see like every pixel in the game - making it look like, well, a pc game! CV1 instead creates the perfect illusion, I can't see pixels anymore, no jaggies, no TAA blur, textures are beyond amazing when I get really close to people and objects. The girls look simply perfect using the CV1 when you get really close - and provides a much better emotional response  Unfortunately SDE is really bad and the res for stuff more than 5 meters away, but to me that's an ok price to pay.
Entering the tavern again, it was so dark - and then I realized that's how it's supposed to be! Using a lcd hmd it's too bright, CV1 oled is just perfect for colors and the late night atmosphere in the tavern.
I'm thinking - if Oculus gets it right - Quest could be the optimal solution with its high-res oled screens - for Asgard's Wrath and TAA (or maybe Vive Pro with Knuckles, Vive Pro also has oled). Note I'm forcing super sampling 1.8 using the CV1, and it really makes a difference - to my knowledge Quest will not support ss, but let's see how that goes (ss is applied to the rendering, so maybe it will affect streaming image quality?).
For now I have no problems supporting UpLoadsVR rating of 100% - but I still have a lot of ground to cover. Love that your stuff takes damage - might need a new shield soon...

I"m using Rift-S.

@@RuneSR2 switching to the Index is too much of a hassle. Last time I switched back to the Rift-S it refused to start up. I thought it was dead. I have 3 monitors and 2 hmds. Not enough ports.

When I say it looks good to me, keep in mind I'm not as observant about such issues. But it's not blurry like Doom VFR or Fallout 4 VR was.

I have it set to epic. I set the resolution to two notches below full and I'm using SS 1.3 in OTT.

That's why I think if I could only have one HMD (Rift-S or Index) the Rift-S is the best option. It's not as good as the Index but those Oculus games almost always run better on the Rift-S. And Oculus has Asgard, Stormland, Medal of Honor, The Waking Dead, Lone Echo 2. On top of all that Steam VR games work perfectly on the Rift-S.
