Someone figured out a way to turn this off. I dont recall where, sorry. Might be here, might be on discord.

We are going to talk about adding a toggle for this in a patch. I can't promise it, but its on the list.

I think you can go much higher than ss 1.3 - also OTT seems to overrule everything, setting the in-game res slider to min or max has no effect on my system (I constantly get ss 1.8). Using 2080 Ti you'll probably have no problem setting OTT to 1.8 like me (you have like 50 - 70 % more gpu power than me - and 3GB more video ram) - or at least ss 1.5. Graphics improve a lot when ss increases.

I just think the Rift-S and Index don't need as much ss as the old cv1 did. I usually just add 1.3 in OTT.

I get the ocassional stutter in this game that's why I don't want to push it any harder. I'm already playing on epic settings.

But you might be right in that the stutters I see may be due to the cpu bottleneck. Cranking up the ss may have no effect. I've seen this happen in other games.

I'm well into 4th saga too, and even though I'm slowly adding to my list of annoyances with some of the mechanics in the game, there's just one thing that's undeniable with this game..  it's such a visual feast! The art style on some of the monsters isn't always great imo, but the world's scenery is just awesome to behold. Kudos to the artists Heart

I just started giving my followers frenzy before fights. I think it breaks runic armor. I also, crush an eyeball before a fight.

I really enjoy using my health potions during fights and not pausing the game to use them. I'm doing multiple things. Maybe my follower went down so I throw him a revive. At the same time, I'm trying to pick up a health potion on the floor.

I heard the ax has a special ability to break armor. You pull the trigger to activate the special power.

VoodooDE said in a video about the game that occasional stuttering happens no matter your hardware - due to the game engine. VoodooDE also uses 2080 Ti.

Btw, in case one of you guys run into the same shit as me:

I wasted like an hour on the part where you're supposed to use the dragon horn on that fiery guardian. I must've missed some trigger, so that the sequence where you're told to go back to the blacksmith to craft it, never started.
I *DID* go back to craft it, but it wasn't on the list of items he could craft. Went around in circles looking for clues, or some item that I could've missed.

Restarting the game triggered the event :relieved:

So if the Dragon Horn is not on the blacksmiths list - I have to restart the game?

It worked for me! (you still have to go to the Fiery Vettir first)

Yup, your followers can remove bars of runic armor with some of their attacks if they're under the influence of frenzy mead.

I didn't have an issue with not having manual saves but one problem is if there is some bug you can't go back to a previous save.

Are you sure you're looking at the right crafting menu?

Nope, 10mbps - got it 1 hour ago, took like 21 hours  o:)

Decided to grab it today (had to host a big family gathering yesterday, so haven’t had time in the past few days). Took about 45 minutes to download and install. 😉
It’s still fairly recent that I got fibre optic gigabit internet; feels good.

Quick question--at what point does the game let you get at the Settings menu? I've just gotten started, and it let me make some basic choices for difficulty and movement, but now its taking me into the Kraken bit, and the left controller menu button doesn't do anything. I find it annoying when a game just throws me into it without getting at the menu so I can make sure things are set up how I want them--smooth turning vs snap, visual settings, etc--why make me see the whole intro sequence and start into the gameplay without letting me get do some basic tweaks first?

Edit: exited the game and started over--had to go through the rainbow bridge bit again, but this time the left menu button is working, so I was able to adjust the resolution and switch to left-handed mode.
