It works! And it´s great to be back in the virtual drivers seat. AC feels absolutely amazing in every way.

Yep tested and working great. I wasn't expecting VR to be implemented so quick, seeing as the poll for whether VR should be the next feature took place 5 or 6 weeks ago, I guess they just needed to dust off the DK2 implementation and give it a tweak.

It's pre-Alpha so we should expect improvements... as it is I get no sound out of the Rift, speakers only. Also, head movement is completely steady, i.e. car bumps, acceleration/deceleration don't relay to the driver unlike Project CARS, so this detracts from the immersion slightly for me. The main menu is only available on the monitor (as it was with DK2) so you can't choose circuit or car within the Rift. Mirrors are 2D in both sims (unlike Euro Truck Sim 2 which has full VR mirrors).

So overall Project CARS is still the best VR driving experience for me but I'm looking forward to improvements with AC. So pleased to have this back and working... haven't played it at all on the monitor!

13700K, RTX 4070 Ti, Asus ROG Strix Z790-A Gaming, Corsair H150i Capellix, 64GB Corsair Vengence DDR5, Corsair 5000D Airflow, 4TB Samsung 870 , 2TB Samsung 990 Pro x 2, DK2, CV1, Rift-S, Quest, 2, 3, Pro, Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (10.0.26100)

I have both... imo pCARS has the better eye candy, it has a better career, right now it has sublime VR support, and is a better over all put together package.

Assetto Corsa however still looks nice, has a huge modding community for cars and tracks and has better handling/physics imo.

I actually believe the handling is better in pcars as is the ffb, but the ffb takes a lot of time to get right & the default car setups are really bad in pcars.

I feel that the default setups in Pcars are designed to work with game-pads first; the overall physics aren't bad but, the sticky grass and other off-track behavior is a let down for sure.  I really like AMS but, VR support is likely a long wait at best - more likely for the 2017 version.

Thanks @SpyderSi, yeah, that's an option I'll maybe use next time... I'd still expect this to be done in-game though, maybe we'll have it for the proper Alpha VR release

I do not have the time or patience to tweak each and every cars settings...... is there a place i can go to download an entire bunch of car settings for each wheel (i have a fanatec GT2 with club sports)
thanks
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR 🙂
