Please post your rating of Battlezone taking into consideration fun factor, value for money, overall polish and using the following criteria if you have purchased/played the game:
I played a lot of this on the PSVR and enjoyed the Rift Beta. It's a really nice combat game and good fun online as well. The choose your own path campaign is a neat feature as well.

I bought this during the Oculus Summer Sale and at first I had no idea wtf I was doing.
I mean, I could drive the tank just fine, and shooting enemies was second nature. But I had lots of questions that I felt the game didn't inherently answer...
Do I level up as a player?
Does my tank level up?
How do I unlock more weapons?
How do I unlock more tanks?
How do I level up my weapons?
Where the hell is the weapons depot?
During my first day, I traversed the map and ended up finding a weapons depot. I know this because the in-game Alexa told me so. But I didn't realize wtf that meant. What it really means is that after you beat the map objective and end up back in the command center, you will have more options on your screen to buy either new weapons or upgraded versions of your favorite weapons.
I didn't know that at first. So I just stayed inside the map driving in circles trying to figure out how to access the weapons store 😘
Eventually I decided to try my hand at multiplayer. I figured that if I'm gonna drive in circles I should at least have a buddy watch me do it. I ended up having back-to-back nights of co-op sessions with someone who knows this game damn well. And it was FUN AS HELL!
I was actually able to hit the end-game (i.e. defeating the final enemy at the Volcano) and destroy multiple Nemesis tanks (Nemesii??). Multiplayer co-op is definitely where this game shines the most. Of course, the graphics are surprisingly stunning considering the game's console-like implementation.
It very much felt like a Tron-world.
For me, having started with the Atari 2600 and playing this tank game:
There was some extra special nostalgia revisiting the tank genre via Battlezone:
The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is because I feel that the single-player aspect doesn't really have enough to keep a player invested for very long. The game relies heavily upon multiplayer co-op for sustainability, similar to Eve Valkyrie, The Unspoken, and Dead & Buried.
That's not necessarily a bad thing; I just personally feel that gamers should be empowered to enjoy a thorough single player experience. I consider it a missed opportunity when a great game can only be fully enjoyed by forcing two or more people to cooperate and commit. I'm not anti-social, but I also don't like relying on others for my own personal happiness.
At least I got lucky and found Battlezone gamers who were top notch both in skill and attitude.
Single player can be quite tactical if you up the difficulty and opt for a longer campaign. You need to really manage your spending on respawns, weapons or upgrades. I think in each stage there's a bonus capture point you can hack which either grants new weapons or cash. It's usually off the beaten track and sometimes very hard to get if you're on defence duty. However, the small speedy tank is good for grabbing these if you've the skill to keep it alive afterwards.

@zenbane - omg, I loved that Atari game too as a kid! Thanks for bringing back those memories
I'm not much of a Tank Gamer lol - but I did love that Atari game. I think I played only one other Tank-based game sometime in the early 2000's, but that was for a very short while. It wasn't a memorable experience either.
Only Atari's Combat and the Rift's Battlezone have impressed upon me a memorable experience in the Tank genre. It seems fitting as well.
