I like it! Have you built any software to go with it?

Bet the arms get tired after a while....

Still waiting for a flying simulator similar to Humhrey II at Ars Electronica Museum in Linz, Austria 🙂

Thanks for the kind words.
@Boff: Yes, we did develop the hole system, so i wrote a c++ server software for the electronics(3Dof motor control, actuators etc.) and the oculus is running with unity. At the moment we evaluate the switch to unreal4.

@tomasslavicek: I did saw the installation ages ago, was a very old version. We were limited by our space, in the beginning we thought about ropes but we went with another solution, because we wanted our simulator to be more or less transportable. + you need some time to climb into the simulator with the robes. Also i'm not that convinced about the oscillations you get when hanging on the robes and you have speedy movements.

@cybereality: So funny, i totally forgot that movie, maybe time again to check it out;)

@Drachenherz: Yeah, one of my all time favorite games and yes, this would be something, we already build in the subwoover :geek:

Fantastic!
I'd love to try it...

Who much does the wind and smell add to the immersion?
And how does you handle start and end of flight?
