A well deserved success for a great VR title. This game has been getting high praises from many VR Enthusiasts, especially those who truly enjoy multiplayer experiences.
In its current state, this title doesn't necessarily cater to those looking for a single player experience ala SkyrimVR or Alyx. But for those who thoroughly enjoy online competitive and co-op play, then this seems to be a fantastic addition to the VR ecosystem.
😁
Vertigo Games' After the Fall has earned over $1.4 million within the first 24 hours of its launch.
The VR shooter sold more copies on day one than Arizona Sunshine in one month

We see other studios doubling down on this as well, other sequels coming out, games that are coming that are full game experiences and not tech demos. People are starting to figure out what sort of game content actually works on these platforms."

I’ve been watching this title with some interest. I’m not hugely into competitive multiplayer, but co-op can be fun. I’m holding off for now, because their lefty mode doesn’t offer the option of swapped-stick locomotion (the devs say it’s coming soon). I’m not doing hectic combat with uncomfortable controls.

This game looks like a shed-load of fun... I'm like nalex and not big on multiplayers unless it's with a few people I know. Still waiting for my brother to get himself a headset, this is something we'd probably spend a lot of hours in. I need to tell him about the referral incentive!
I wonder if I can gift my referral money too, that would swing it, I don't think there's a way to gift your own store credit though unless someone knows different.

Great news!

I think I would add "for new and casual users". For oldtimers a lot more of content works but there are less oldtimers then newcomers 🙂
Also crossplay is nice addition when you have friends with other headsets.

You could always use your referral credit to gift him a game.

Hey there, we're so glad to see how excited you are for the game; also how you want your brother to join in on the fun! To answer your question, as of now we do not have a way to gift your store credits. However, we do offer app gifting; this allows you to purchase games directly from the Oculus store, and have them sent your friends or family.

Yeah I guess I just use the credit to buy something for myself that I would have bought anyway (this game maybe!) and gift him a game with the money I saved.
He mentioned getting a headset a few months ago, either a Quest or PS (he's a big console gamer and not interested in getting a gaming PC) but hasn't mentioned it since. I was going to give him my Q1 but new games are increasingly making use of the XR2 including this one, although I see it's coming to Q1 next year... I think a second-hand Q1 isn't quite the right move for him, especially with some of the upcoming Horizon stuff too.
