Avoid making purchases on here at ALL COSTS.
MOST VR games are on Steam or EGS where the company KNOWS how gaming services work and will be willing to continue to provide you with downloads for the licenses you own.
digital games are just TICKETS to download the files. and if the storefront wont maintain their servers
YOU CAN LOSE IT ALL.
ask me how i know.
Meta has stolen games out of my library, and even after getting them to put them back the downloads are broken and they refuse to even attempt a fix after two weeks contacting support.
hook up to a PC and NEVER USE THEIR STORE.
buy a valve index.
i regret supporting the oculus CV1 in 2017. facebook is evil.

Meta also disabled the GearVR in December 2023. Now all of the games bought, Videos,... even the headset is no longer working. Once connected it tries to download a 0.0MB "Update" and fails. I would have NEVER bought such a device under that condition.

I think Meta is the reason VR is starting to become mainstream. For that, they have my thanks. However, I agree that for PC VR games, do not purchase from Meta. They have a LOT of bugs and issues with PC VR. Games installed directly to the headset work great, however. So, this is the way to go with Meta VR. For PC VR, Steam is significantly better by all measures. With few exceptions (Asgards Wrath and maybe a few others), all PC VR games are available on Steam. It's that simple.
