Just figured out how to run the first Doom in VR,  I forgot how much I loved playing that game when I first got back in 1993 and played it on my 486

Yes I am aware that doom and other games like Wolfenstein have been playable for some time but I've only had my rift for a about 3 weeks

Aaah doom one. I remember playing this for the first time around christmas 94/95. The guy who got the pc capable of running it went from billy no mates to mr popular overnight.

We used to stay at school until 10pm before the alarms went off to play doom 1. Those were the days :smile:

id reccomend bringing up the console and slowing down the default movement speed. the command is turbo + whatever speed you want. lower is slower. i use turbo 30 for the closest to natural speed.

 you can also lower the gun texture on screen so it no longer floats with vr_weapon_height -15
