I’m not sure specifically which version it is but recently there was a quest 3 system update that changed how the guardian barrier works in the worst way possible. When you step out of your guardian barrier it should immediately show you in some way that you stepped out of it, but in the most recent update the barrier will stretch beyond what you set it to to try to keep you in it. It doesn’t actually tell you that you’ve gone too far until you’re about 2 feet away from the barrier. For people who play in rather cramped spaces this is a major hazard. While trying to grab my drink while playing vr I almost spilled it on my laptop because it made me think I was still well within my barrier even though I was pretty far from it. The guardian barrier was perfectly fine before. Please change it back. Or at least have an option to toggle the stretching and morphing.

Did you send a bug report to let Meta know about the issue?
Report a bug on Meta Quest | Quest help
Until the issue is resolved, perhaps you could double-tap the headset arm to enter passthrough mode when reaching for your drink?
While it's not as convenient as simply walking out of the barrier, but it at least prevents you from killing your laptop.🙂
