Hello
Devs, I hope this is the correct location to post issues for Dead
and Buried 2 - Quickdraw.
First off, thank you for adding
Quickdraw in Dead and Buried 2. Also, a big thank you for allowing 8
players and the option to mute individuals. However, I would like to
bring some gameplay issues to your attention.
Please
note I've listed what I think are major issues to minor issues. Also
these issues were observed and confirmed by other players: Rneal71,
KoolFreak, Nova_Scotia, AtkinsFamily, GrazingBacon
Major
concerns:
Matchmaking
(100% repo)–
Continuously pairs you with the same opponent if numbers are even.
The tournament style matchmaking discourages/frustrates players
since the pairings are carried over to the next match. Randomized
opponents is preferred. Note:
This has been the number one complaint I've heard from players.
Scoreboard
– (100% repo)
Difficult
to read due to location – Since it's a button press, centering
the screen would be ideal.
Confusion
on who is the actual winner.
Legacy
players from DnB would prefer the deciding factor be the the last
player standing. The current design helps find out who the winner
is in a stalemate situation.
As
it stand there is no clear description if you win by points or
remaining lives.
Note:
Players take pride on when they are able to complete a round with
all three lives remaining. Which we consider that to be a perfect
game.
Iron
sites are not aligned (100%
repo) – Dead and Buried had the shots aligned with the iron
sites. It allowed player to develop muscle memory with an accurate
pistol. With the current design we're are having to relearn where
the bullet lands.
These
issues occur just not as frequent:
Unable
to draw your pistol – After the bell rings, you are unable to
draw your weapon. Resulting in the player having to return to town
and rejoin the match again to resolve the issue.
Invisible
opponent – Upon spawning onto the street, a player will not be
able to see their opponent. The user who is unable to see their
opponent, and is unable to kill them. While the one invisible is
able to kill the other. The player who is unable to see their
opponent will need to return to town and rejoin.
Able
to draw your pistol before bell rings – Legacy issue from DnB.
Player
A and Player B enter the street.
As
the first tick goes off, Player B leaves the game.
As
Player A remains on the street listen for the bell to ring. (At
this point Player A should have spawned on the sidelines)
Next,
once the next match appears; Player A and Player C enter the
street.
Results:
Player A will be able to draw their weapon before the bell rings.
This does not apply to Player C. Player C will have to wait till
the bell rings to draw their weapon. Meanwhile it appears Player A
is going off of the bell from the previous match.
Note:
Player A will be able to do this until they die or all matches are
completed.
Minor
concerns:
Bodies
remain on the street (90%
repo)– Seems to occur when a player leaves the game after
they die or disconnect after they have died.
Characters
respawning on the sidelines. (100%
repo) - Seems to occur when a player steps out of the level
design area within their play space area. Results: The player is
consistently spawned back to the middle repeatedly until the player
moves. The spawning sound effect is more of an annoyance when your
fighting on the street.
Spawn
location location behind pillar (100%
repo) – Obstructs the view of the fight.
Keep
up the great work and stay safe.
