Diy VR1803d camera

Currently, I have a Kodak PixPro SP360 camera modified for a VR180 system, and after some processing, it produces quite decent VR1803D films. However, as these are 4K cameras, the quality doesn't fully satisfy me, and I'm looking for something better. But the market prices for VR cameras are unacceptably high for an average user. Therefore, I thought about using available cameras to create a VR1803D setup. The camera definitely needs to be above 4K resolution, ideally the highest possible. But a big problem is the narrow field of view (FOV) of such cameras. I found a solution using two GoPro 12 cameras with an additional Lens Mod 2.0, giving me a 5.7K resolution and 175-degree FOV. This costs around $1,000.

However, I'm open to other suggestions, or perhaps some ready-made VR180 cameras priced up to $1,000, as I'm not willing to pay more. I know the Insta360 EVO has good reviews but is practically unavailable. I would be grateful for any ideas on building such a camera.

Best regards.
