Doom VR will use Speed Teleporting and will support all VR systems

Teleportation:
But in the new demo at Gamescom can now move at lightning speed through the huge level without causing a bad will. As? Per rapid Teleport: The player holds in one hand his gun, in the other the teleporter. With it, he simply shows to the floor, pulling the lever of the controller and will be immediately ported to the place. This technique is old known, but no one has implemented it with such a pace.
VR Support for all Systems:
id Software wants to make Doom VR a big AAA titles with all the trimmings. For this purpose they want to support all VR systems. "We are platform-agnostic," says Duffy. The demo was running on the HTC Vive, but could just as easily run on the Oculus Rift and PSVR when hand-controller there are connected.

k? I do. You don't teleport in real life do you? No...you walk and run.

Do you kill demons in real life too? If not, you should probably avoid this, as it will be too immersion breaking for you.

If I wanted to play cut down experiences, I'd play mobile games.

I totally hate FPS controls in VR - makes people nauseated almost instantly. Teleporting is virtually the only way to navigate VR worlds for now.

Just because you have a problem with something doesn't mean it has to be catered to you. Imagine someone who gets sick on rollercoasters begging the ride creators to slow it down, or stop doing loop de loops, or stop going down steep curves nad drops. It would not be a rollercoaster then, it's be a bumper car.

If you hate something move on and let others use it instead.
