How do you use the Galaxy map with a hotas setup? Ive read some people have mapped the stick to different movement functions but its so hard to select the star you want that way. It would be super nice if I could use my mouse in that screen. That's what I did before I got my Rift was to use the mouse in stations and in the galaxy map. Its easy to move my hand down from the stick to the mouse in the Rift and it gives an opportunity to let go of the stick for a min and relax the hand.
I think that if they'd just open the galaxy map with the pov just above or below the 'reticle' plane there'd be far less confusion about it. If you tilt the map just a bit so that you can see the reticle plane and elevation lines connected to each star, targetting becomes much more intuitive.
