Farlands support group

I'm playing Farlands and really enjoying it, but I'm having some trouble. I get the feeling I won't be the only one as some of the things in it aren't very well explained...at least, not to me. I have a few questions to those who've gotten to the end.

It says I'm missing a good number of bugs and fish, but I've been to the same areas a hundred times and keep finding the same stuff. How do I get the others? 

I never have "basic meal", but I always have the others. What is basic meal and how do you get it?

I have creatures wanting white fruit, but I can't find any. Is that locked to the last couple areas? I'm at the Hive right now at level 7.

In the Hive...WTF? I'm lost here. I've gone through all of my fruit and nothing's happening.

That's about all I can think of right now. Any help is appreciated.

I like the game otherwise and I am fine with the light hearted humor in the dialogue with the professor but the robot is way over the top imho. 

I don't mind her, but since there's a lot of repeated dialogue, it can get a little annoying.

I'm unable to find the last plant.  Anyone know where the "hard to find" one might be? 🙂

There's a twist in the plot where the Robot looses its emotions and just states the facts without congratulating you anymore

@kideternal there are some bulbous plants that hang from the sides of the rock walls, maybe those are the one that you are missing?

I keep searching for artifacts and have a feeling they aren't just "found".  Is that the case?

@kingzope that is correct.  The artifacts are not something you can just find laying around.  I really don't want to spoil too much about them because they are key to why you are even researching this planet in the first place.  For lack of a better way to describe it, they are 'late game' items, and more-or-less part of the 'storyline'.

Cool thanks man.  At least this keeps me from wasting tons of time looking in every crevice lol.  I'm absolutely loving this experience.

I'm having some problems with the hive, i'm trying to "pimp my level" but even if i give them the fruit they ask for, the level doesn't seem to raise... any tip?

@Kalec84 keep an eye on where the fruit goes. Each fruit exclusively goes to "swell" one of the feeding tubes of the same color. The central one (the Queen's) is black fruit only.
