Fireworks Visualizer to your own Music! Light In the Night.

Updated Demo: 6-26-2014

Ported the project to the iPhone and added Augmented reality. Its a free download. You pick a song on your iPod and it blasts the fireworks to the beat in the world using more augmented reality than virtual reality with the back camera as a view finder. The coolest part is you can capture your expierence and share your creations on social networks using the EveryPlay service.

Based on tips and advise, I was going for experience. Download the latest client. Lay back and look up! High, Mid, Base now have their own emitter and the fireworks are now over one's head. If this is liked I think I am going to submit it to Share. Music Starts after 30 seconds.

I started to polish the visuals. You are now on the tip of the cliff looking out into the ocean. You hear the sounds of nature as the sky gets dark. You see the spores in there air contrast against the night's sky and hear the first note. Cool thing about fireworks over water, is well fireworks over water, so check it out! I feel like I got a good size for scale in the demo! Headphones recommended.

To Play Your own MP3

1) Download LightInTheNight for your platform
1a) Windows - http://bit.ly/1bFvqOd

2) Use Audacity -> http://audacity.sourceforge.net to convert any .mp3 into .ogg format.

3) Audio file must be renamed as firework.ogg

4) Put it in LightInTheNight correct data folder
4a) Windows its in LightInTheNight_Data folder
4b) Mac, right click Show Package Contents -> Contents folder
4c) Linux its in the LightInTheNight_Data folder

Launch LightInTheNight, Day -> Night Transition is 15 seconds and then it starts the show!

Just tried your newest update, mharris. I stuck the Recognizer song from TRON Legacy in there, and I was pretty astonished at how well the fireworks fit the music. Great job on this!

Loved the new version, but my setup is a pain to lay back so I have to turn my head up what its a bit painfull after a few minutes. Maybe a configuration where you can choose the position where the fireworks will explode? Besides that I found this version perfect, used some classical musics here and got a ton of fireworks on the most "active" parts of the music, impressive work!

This is extremely enjoyable, I prefer the new version over the old one. Laying back really makes this experience very relaxing! If it had a contentious mode or a way to add multiple songs this would be great to just sit back and relax for hours. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see this progress! 😄

I love your video Ganjaroach,they have very detailed information about the game and feelings and they are very pleasent to see,the best thing to be a good video 😛

I am working on some cool ways to stream in music so that you don't have to worry about just one song or converting it to .ogg format. You'll be able to stream in any song and your previously created playlists with one of my favorite services.

That is no problem at all, I can't wait to throw my gf into this because she gets so sick normally and this is one of the few games that any one can just sit back and enjoy. 🙂

A calaboration tool for the mac would be nice, all the rest of the games work fine, but this one's calaboration for the eyes are WAY off, please fix because this game looks like it would be amazing 🙂
