Fireworks Visualizer to your own Music! Light In the Night.

Updated Demo: 6-26-2014

Ported the project to the iPhone and added Augmented reality. Its a free download. You pick a song on your iPod and it blasts the fireworks to the beat in the world using more augmented reality than virtual reality with the back camera as a view finder. The coolest part is you can capture your expierence and share your creations on social networks using the EveryPlay service.

I would love feedback.

Updated Demo: 12-17-2013

Based on tips and advise, I was going for experience. Download the latest client. Lay back and look up! High, Mid, Base now have their own emitter and the fireworks are now over one's head. If this is liked I think I am going to submit it to Share. Music Starts after 30 seconds.

Updated Demo: 12-14-2013

I started to polish the visuals. You are now on the tip of the cliff looking out into the ocean. You hear the sounds of nature as the sky gets dark. You see the spores in there air contrast against the night's sky and hear the first note. Cool thing about fireworks over water, is well fireworks over water, so check it out! I feel like I got a good size for scale in the demo! Headphones recommended.

This demo is very impressive and one I'd recommend to everyone who has a rift, listening to Fireworks by Katy Perry was amazing. I would like to be further back so I don't have to look up so high other than that awesome demo.

Nice! Are you an fireworks enthusiast? These are some pretty faithful recreations. 🙂

A music-less mode would be cool, maybe triggered by having no firework.ogg.

The fireworks being flat looks right to me. I crew on professional shows off and on and pretty much the only time you see fireworks with stereoscopic depth is when something is going wrong haha...

I would love some feedback, experiences, and ideas to make this final.

I tried this tonight. Very nice!

You can improve it by:

1. Slowing down the firing of the fireworks. It's faster than it should be which takes away from the anticipation / emotional aspect of watching fireworks.

2. Decreasing the volume of the music and increasing the volume of the sound effects.

3. Adding better explosion sounds (think very deep bass).

Bravo.

I went with the Katy Perry Fireworks too, and what a show! I would like to be a little further back through so i didn't have to look directly above me to see them all. It was fine for a one song show, but I couldn't play around with different songs without getting a stiff neck.

I too would like the Option to adjust music vs SFX balance.

Thanks for a great Demo, its going in my must show to Muggles folder. 🙂

I can't recommend this demo enough, especially for introducing people to the Rift for the first time or for those that struggle with motion sickness.

My wife tried the Tuscanny Demo and Blocked in and felt almost instantly nauseas with both. This made her somewhat reluctant to try any other demos but I bullied her into giving this a shot and as soon as the music started she completely forgot about the nerves and just enjoyed the experience.

She even sat in it for a few minutes when the music was over and stared at the floating... things.

Tried this tonight. Absolutely a great display of the oculus. My personal preference for any changes:

1) Rarely does anyone get the luxury of sitting directly underneath fireworks - my guess is that its just not the safest place to be. I wasnt too keen on practically laying down to see these. If you can manage a better angle, but you can still impress with massive fireworks.

2) I wouldnt shoot them off from multiple locations around the viewer. Id like to see the show without turning all around to see whats going on. This helps keep it a relaxing experience

3) Not sure what the snow stuff is all about. How about some stars in the sky, maybe a moon, a distant skyline... dunno.

4) Slower firings. Real fireworks you can see the tracers going up, then a second, then POW. These boys have jets attached to them!

Please dont take any of that as negative criticism - what you have done is absolutely incredible, and is on my keeper list!
