Full Body Immersion using Unity + Rift + PrioVR

I started this project two weeks to make more of a game than the previous UDK demos. Something that other people could play and get me some more time working with Unity in general.

This is the first demo I've made using the OVR plugin. The inital kickstarter video used a wireless 3-Space tracker because the wireless HDMI transmitter we used was not properly sending the USB signals for the tracker. For that video I used dxtory directshow windows so you could see in the rift AND record the video fullscreen.





This is still very much a work in progress. I have already fixed several things in the game that are visible in the video like the hands and feet having the incorrect collision, the background color being the default blue instead of the dark grey. Tweaked the limb lights to be closer range but more intense ect..

I still plan on coming back and tweaking/adding to this in my spare time. Adding the Rift support to this was easy and completely changed the way this game was played.

Nice this is one of the best examples of vr body immersion I've seen so far.

I like how you can observe the objects from all different angles.

Interesting idea to have the scenery coming towards you like that. It sort of solves the problem of not having enough space to walk around.
