Games for Disabled/Sitting

I have severe back issues. I am in a recliner almost 24/7. I have
tried some apps that I cannot play. When it wants me to reach down I
cannot because the recliner is in the way. I do not want to start buying
games I cannot play. The only app that has worked is Mission ISS
because one never has to reach down. Can they rate the games so that you
can play them if seated? I think I tried the trial of the flight
simulator that was rated for sitting but could not reach down to the
joystick as the recliner was in the way.

I Expect You To Die is 100% seated. Bait defiantly is as well.

If Missoin ISS is ok then Lone Echo should be fine, too.
It plays in zero-g as well so you can float everywhere and turn in any direction.
On top of that it's one of the best VR titles ever made in my opinion.

Moss is another great game that should not give you any problems (I guess).

If cockpit games with a physical Joystick/HOTAS on your desk are an option then Elite:Dangerous is strongly reccommended.

There are still many VR games in Oculus Home and beyond that were written for the XBOX controller instead of Touch. Those should be suitable for you in general.
Great games of that category that come to my mind:

A lot of games have a seated option now. I played Stormland and Asgard's Wrath seated. And you never have to reach down. You can usually point your hand and things come to your hand when you grab. Even Vader Immortal has a seated option. But you do have to move your arms around a lot in the games I mentioned and may have to reach forward and up a bit.

Lucky's Tale, Herobound Spirit Champion, Feral Rites, No Man's Sky, Elite Dangerous, Dreadhalls, Technolust, Robinson The Journey, Witchblood, Theseus, The Assembly, Windlands, DiRT Rally and Project CARS 2 can be played seated and are all excellent. Not sure about Windlands 2 though because I haven't bought that yet!

All bodies die (even yours). You have to walk in another person's shoes to understand them. I have lived in constant pain for 20 years. It just varies from mild/medium to agonizing. We all do what we want to do. My goal is just to survive day to day. The VR would be nice but I do not think it is ready for prime time. Perhaps in 2-3 years.

  • Alien Isolation with the MotherVR m
  • Subnautica (on Steam)
  • Blaze Rush
  • Edge of Nowhere
  • Chronos
  • Trover saves the Universe (on Steam)

Thank you so much! I will give Lone Echo a try. I have a month to return it to Amazon. I suspect that most of the programming will now be to integrate it with Facebook rather than fixing it. I think it is not ready for prime time. I suspect another 2-3 years. Thanks again!
