Give Bogo a last pat on the head before a trip over the rainbow bridge

The Quest 1 launch title Bogo where you interact with a pet creature is being killed off on Friday (march 15), as well as both Dead and Buried 1 & 2.

Back last year when this was announced, they pulled all three from the store so nobody new could get them, but if you already had them in your library they remained.

But on Friday they will be deleted from everybody's libraries so can't be used anymore.

Bogo may not be in out libraries anymore but they will always be in our hearts. Goodbye Bogo!

It's a shame they can't release it as open source so someone else can support it. Bogo was free and had no online connection. It would have made a nice SDK example.

So, apparently, the geniuses at Meta decided to toss out a perfectly fine VR demo this March. Because, you know, who needs good, enjoyable and solitary experiences anyway?

Bogo has been my go-to for introducing VR virgins to the wonders of the VR and AI pets.

Now, here's the kicker: the one free game I actually enjoy is the one they decide to axe, leaving me stuck with a landfill of other cruddy freebies I can't get rid of because your not allowed to delete any free games and demos from your library.... *slow clap* Well played, Meta, well played

Basically the Unreal developers behind titles like Bogo left Meta, there's nobody left to support in-house Unreal projects. Plus OS compatibility may become an issue.
