Goodbye echo. Thank you for all the great memories and the home that you provided for me and so many others. I think I speak for most if not all of the community when I say that we are heartbroken that our game and home was shut down. You may have shut down our game and taken away our Vr home, but the community is still strong. I am at a loss for words for how this shut down makes me feel. I’m shocked that the game is actually gone. I’m angry that meta blatantly ignored the outcries that the community threw out. Ignoring the petition, the forums posts, and the literal plane that we funded to fly around. The number of echo users may have been small compared to other games, but it was a very strong and very active community. I am deeply saddened to lose this game which was a second home and escape from reality for me. I hope the new Ready At Dawn project is worth shutting down our old game. Bottom line is that echo was more than just a game. It was a community, a home, and a family. It will be dearly missed.
