It just came out on Steam early access today and looks like its getting some really positive reviews. Was wondering if anyone had tried it on their Rift yet as I'm thinking of picking it up. Also, does it have HOTAS support?
I was going to pull the trigger on CDF Starfighter the other day when I saw this game, has anyone played them both and know how they compare? They look great and are pretty much the same price but it's HOTDS that i'm seeing a lot of positive reports for.
Great little game tbh and it is only single player.
Graphics are simple but suit it, it reminds me of Silpheed and Starfox style graphics! Gameplay is fun and I love the fact that when you start building a fleet you can jump out to the map pause, or continue the battle and command from the map, then jump back into a starfighter if you want.
It's not a huge game, I'm 4 hours in and probably done 50% of the missions, but you can go back and re-do old ones that have more enemies and harder objectives.
It only has one piece of background music, and that is the war drums. It's fine though, kind of suits it.
It seems to be a bit buggy for me to launch, had to launch steam VR them click PLAY IN VR on the game page. If I directly chose to launch in Steam VR before launching steam VR ,it would try to launch Steam VR then crash steam!
With a bit more content this could be a great little title. It's worth it for a little over a tenner.
