List of VorpX-compatible games that run flawlessly on DK2

Maybe this thread could be used to get a growing list of games which run at least nearly flawless on DK2 using the new VorpX Beta. Unfortunately I cannot contribute to this list by now because I don't know about one single title that runs nearly perfect and without hassle. Even Skyrim has numerous issues for me that really block me from enjoying the game right now. So if you already tested some games with positive results using the new VorpX Beta feel free to list them here. Also please list necessary tweaks as well as remaining issues.

If you get image distortion/skew while rolling your head, double check whether games are set to the DK2 native res (1920x1080). This is important for every game.

Mirrors Edge also allows easy FOV adjustment through the game settings optimizer in the config app, which can apply usesful ini-tweaks automatically. This *really helpful* feature seems to get overlooked a lot. Not many games in the database yet, but more to follow.

Mirrors Edge is definitely for advanced Rifters only though. Much head bobbing, thus fast nausea if you are sensitive to motion sickness.

I'm getting fantastic 3D in skyrim. ...would like to be taller than everyone else other than that Scale seems perfect. Adjusting player height in Vorpx settings causes glitches. If you are having shadow flickering issues this is the fix... in the skyrimprefs.ini change bDeferredShadows=1 to bDeferredShadows=0 ...for some reason it has fixed the shadow problem either way if its zero make it 1 ...if its 1 make it zero. If you do not have a ....shit ..I am IN Skyrim feeling, you are doing something wrong.

I tried mirrors edge, and while it was certainly cooler than the DK1, I couldn't exactly figure all the best settings out and it was kind of distorted and wonky for me. I got so sick after playing for five minutes, but it was worth it.

really? that's odd, have you tried vireo drivers, this was one of the games I wanted to play, was going to try vireo drivers first as well.

well here's a very positive review of skyrim on vorpx with positional tracking.

I will edit the OP as soon as we got some reliable information in this thread. Maybe it would be unwise to update the list as soon as one user states that a specific game runs without any issues. Maybe a short delay would be the way to go since that would give others some time to confirm or negate compatibility. I will edit the OP tomorrow for the first time.

I just tried Bioshock Infinite myself and I can definitely confirm that it runs just awesome with VorpX. I can also confirm that there is no need for changing anything in the VorpX options. The only thing I like to change is always the 3D strength since a higher value gives the whole virtual world much more volume so everything has way more presence. Unfortunately that also means that everything shrinks down a bit. So you've got to find your sweet spot!

I tried Skyrim with vorpX today, and while it definitely looked awesome, I had serious issues with jerky head movement. We're not talking the regular DK2 judder here, but having your viewpoint jump 90 degrees in any given direction in a single frame for no discernible reason, your viewpoint making smaller micro-jumps back and forth constantly, and the whole experience feeling very stuttery.

For the record, I can run Skyrim with every graphics setting on maximum at a constant 60 fps without any trouble. My experience with vorpX was the same whether I put every option to maximum or minimum. I couldn't figure out what was causing the problem, and I didn't see anyone in the vorpX forum suffering from the same problem. It's having me puzzled, but I'm not about to give up yet. The sense of presence was far better than I had expected as long as I kept my head reasonably still, and even things like menus works very well once you get used to clicking the middle mouse button to turn the screen into a projection (like in a movie theater) that lets you look around the screen, before clicking the middle mouse button again to jump back into first person perspective.

interesting TiLT, I noticed that same thing occuring in that video I linked before, but it only appeared occasionally.

yes RirtualVeality great idea, look at nvidias 3d vision webiste, that also at least gives compatibility ratings, once that has been done I can set up the games I need before hand, I think once 3 people have confirmed the game works well it should then be added, but there are no rules, im very interested to know of tomb riader underworld and alan wakes compatibility.

some extra details on the issues of some games would be nice to, I heard either crysis 2 or 3 had a fuzzy gun graphical anomaly, although that may have been vireo instead.

please help me out here. I tried skyrim and everything is zoomed in. Nothing looks 3D at all. I tried following the instructions which says press '~' then type 120 and hit enter but nothing happens. the sensitivity of the positional tracking is way off. Please help me someone.

You need to type "fov 120" not "120"....

The game will still be zoomed in, but to a lesser degree.
The zooming effect looked very noticeable in bioshock infinite imo, less so in Skyrim.
Hit delete key, and ensure geometry mode is enabled, and tweak the params.
