I am not exactly sure why we are reviewing this game... as it is free!
However, there are so many things to love about this game, from the graphics to the cuteness of the characters, I really rate this game highly. However, having said that... I don't actually play it! Why? I am not sure... perhaps its because its a reboot of games that we have all played a million times before?
I love this game... I just never play it. Discuss.
I couldn't get past the feeling that somewhere Nintendo is annoyed they missed out on the opportunity to set the initial bar for 3rd person platformers in VR.
There's nothing to dislike about this game. The only negative is that there aren't any additional worlds to travel to; I want this one to last forever. Crossing my fingers for expansions and updates.
Forget about things being a reboot of other things. The immersion makes it massively different. I would love to reboot unchartered series and tomb raider into vr.
Top little game, lacked variety a bit in later levels and being forced to replay levels was a chore. The physics and design were beautiful though, a bit more variety and choice of levels and I think it would have deserved to be a top paid title.
By far the most polished game I've played so far on the rift.
I'll be honest, I didn't think I would enjoy this game half as much as I actually do. I'm really hoping they continue the series as I feel this could be the start of a great series.
Graphics are are top notch for what it is and gameplay is very smooth. Most challenging part of the game is the time trials which adds to the replay value.
It gets a 5 from me. Who'd have thought that a cutesy, Mario-esque world could be so much fun in this day and age? I just love all the little touches. The butterflies flitting right under my nose, the dandelion seeds scattering to the winds, the way those cute little birds look at you if you peer too closely at them. Just looking around and believing that you are a part of this mad landscape is quite a revelation. And to think, I was only gonna download it because it was free, and I was only very slightly mildly curious 😘
