Mecha Rushdown - a VR Mech Fighting game!

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to start showing a little of the game I am working on, it's a VR only (of course) Mech Fighting game called

Mecha Rushdown!

In it you play as your virtual Avatar controlling your very large personal Fighting Mech in one on one mega powered clashes against other players' Mechs.
You'll be in Virtual Avatar form as you stand just next to your towering Machine during the mega powered clashes with your massive metal opponents, as showers of sparks fly and broken pieces of shrapnel whizzes right by your virtual face
Your VR headset and hands directly controls your Mech and you’ll use your body as input to jump, crouch, weave and dodge your opponent's powerful blows, kicks and energy blasts!

The game can be played in either 3rd or 1st person view, or you can switch back and forth between the two.

Here's a sort of conceptey first video of what I'm going for!

If you have any questions or comments please just reply below and I'll answer!

People need to buy this game. I've been looking for a multiplayer fighting game for sometime and was hoping to see a boxing one. This looks amazing though and would love to see lots of people purchase it for multiplayer. Can you block opponents attacks and things? I'm defiantly trying this out on the free weekend..

You can block attacks using your open hands!  That's in fact how you score more of the 'Overdrive' energy that you use to throw energy blasts and engage the supercharged fists of fury.  When you make a successful block you'll get a green energy effect and a different sound effect which will tell you you've made a successful block!

Hi,

I played on the free weekend,

Just some feedback:

1. Loved the intro and the control panels all very professionally done.

2. I had issues with the height system for some reason,  think I missed the right height settings in the beginning and could not find a way to adjust this. Maybe there was in game but would be nice if you could adjust your height after game launch. If I went back into the same robot from main screen in no longer gave a height change option.

3. The Robots are great and got a real feeling of height.  I found the flicking back and forward between 3rd and 1st person though made me feel ill. I wanted to fight in first person and so found I was holding the 'A' button all the time and when I did accidently let go it was pretty jarring. I think a toggle button would be better.

4. First person did not feel one to one with my arm movements, bit slower than my real world actions. This may be an issue with my height though.

I had to stop after a bit because I felt sick but looks like you have put a lot of hard work into it and it is looking good.
