Fellow racers, from the casual drivers all the way to you Pro level license holders, I've noticed a lack of any dedicated place on the forums for all of us gear heads to talk about what we love, so I took it upon myself to start a thread where we can open up about all of the cool things we have going on.
Got a new panel box that you're dying to show off? We'd love for you to post a picture of your setup, so we can talk about it! Maybe you've just hit a new record lap-time and want to brag about it? If you've got the footage, I'm sure we'd all love to take a look at how clean the lap was!
What racing titles have you all been playing, and what made you choose that title over any of the others out there?
I personally went down the road of Assetto Corsa. The idea of competition oriented sim racing was intriguing to me, but I just need to find the time to really get committed to it. For the time being, I found myself leaning towards something with a heavy amount of mod support and UGC than other titles typically had to offer, which is why I chose AC.
My current setup is:
- Quest 2
- Thrustmaster T300RS
- Thrustmaster T8HA Shifter
- Thrustmaster T3PA Pedals
- An Amazon handbrake
- I'm unsure which stand I'm currently using, but it's a simple one with a single arm design.
It's nothing special, but it definitely gets the job done. Unfortunately, out of commission at the moment. 😅 I'm looking into fixing it. I suspect its something to do with the hall effect sensor motor mount or the sensor itself. I'd love to hear what you're all rolling with!
I've personally only competed in small-league Forza Motorsport competitions when I was younger, but I'd love to hear your stories about any competitions, leagues, championships, cups, etc. you've all taken part in!

I have some cool ideas in mind for this thread, eventually. Maybe something cool like hosting our own monthly series on a chosen sim, or lap time competitions with a leaderboard? Who knows, but I know there's a lot of you out there who enjoy sim racing, so I'd love to see where this one goes! 🙂
